May 2010: Virginia Forest Watch was recently the recipient of a $220 donation from a 5th grader in Virginia Beach, VA. A teacher at Norfolk Academy had given students an assignment to take on an environmental project and have a charitable organization benefit from their project. Virginia Forest Watch was selected by one student. To raise the money the student spent a month performing work around the neighborhood and soliciting donations from neighbors. Our thanks go out to the teacher, the student and Virginia Beach for the support.
