This is a list provided
to us by the Virginia Department of Forestry of the loggers that notify
them via their "logger notification hot line" with
information on jobs that they are about to begin or have just
begun. They are required to notify within three days after
beginning a job, but may also do so directly to their local DOF
office, so all jobs may not be listed here.
Please continue to let us know
about logging jobs that you see, as there are still
some loggers that are not notifying. In 2006 there
were 111 cases where loggers failed to notify and 471 logging
sites that had problems on them that DOF had to take action
on. Those
jobs are also listed on our web site.
